Northwestern's M.Ed. program ranked among most affordable
Aug 10, 2016
Northwestern College’s online Master of Education degree program is ranked third on a list of the nation’s 25 Most Affordable Online Master’s of Educational Leadership and Administration Degrees by AffordableSchools.net.
AffordableSchools.net focuses on identifying and ranking unique and affordable academic programs. Ranked ahead of Northwestern on the list are Bridgewater State University (Mass.) and North American University (Texas).
“When we decided to offer a Master of Education degree, we committed to three things,” says Dr. Rebecca Hoey, director of Northwestern’s Graduate School & Adult Learning. “One, offering a stellar educational experience in a convenient format; two, taking great care of our students throughout their program; and three, making sure our tuition is affordable so teachers who want a Northwestern education can fit it into their budget.
“This recognition affirms we’re meeting our commitment to affordable excellence.”
Northwestern offers three tracks for Master of Education students: early childhood, master teacher and teacher leadership. Each of the three tracks is offered entirely online and can be completed in two years or less. A 12-credit graduate certificate in teacher leadership is also available.
More than 150 students are enrolled in Northwestern’s online M.Ed. program. A new term of classes begins Aug. 23, and registration for the spring 2017 term opens Oct. 26. For more information, visit online.nwciowa.edu.
