Earn your Coaching Authorization online and take the passion you have for sport to coaching and inspiring athletes at the middle school or high school level. This program certifies you to coach in the state of Iowa. The affordable, non-credit Coaching Authorization option is intended for those who are not licensed teachers, or for licensed teachers who do not need or want to earn a Coaching Endorsement.

100% online. 8-weeks.
You will earn your Coaching Authorization in 8 weeks with one online class. Login on your schedule. Weekly assignments keep you on track to complete your authorization in only 8-weeks. Some out-of-class requirements, such as connecting with an athletic trainer (by video when necessary), will enable you to earn your Coaching Authorization from home. The cost of the class includes all textbooks, which will be shipped directly to you prior to the start of the program.

Coaching Endorsement
If you are an educator or preparing to be a teacher, you may choose to take the Coaching Endorsement for college credit in order to add the endorsement to your teaching license. Learn more.
